Apprenticeships

Work experience students

Could you be an apprentice?

If you’re 16 - 24 years-old and looking for your first job, then our Apprenticeship Scheme is a great way to get your future off to a flying start.

Apprentices can work in a wide range of jobs - either with Kent County Council or other Kent employers. Apprenticeships normally last between 9 and 15 months and can start at any time of the year. You’re fully supported throughout the period and receive a salary (£105 per week) at the same time.

Find out what our apprentices thought about the scheme.

Benefits of apprenticeships

As an apprentice you will benefit by:

  • choosing from a wide range of skill sectors
  • learning while you work
  • developing practical skills and knowledge
  • gaining job specific qualifications
  • learning from other team members
  • receiving further training and development
