We offer excellent salaries and benefits, and because we are the largest local authority in the UK we have opportunities at every level.

We are looking for people who are enthusiastic and passionate about improving the lives of our most vulnerable children and young people

We are investing heavily in children’s social care to make sure our workers can make a difference where it counts. This includes:

  • smaller caseloads
  • high quality supervision
  • administrative support
  • a minimum of 5 training days per year

Ofsted

The welfare of children and young people in Kent is our top priority

Since our last Ofsted inspection in October 2010, there has been a massive effort by our staff and members and a significant investment over two years, to make the vital services provided for children, families and carers better.

The improvements we are making to safeguarding children services were recognised in our 2012 Ofsted Inspection.
