The Kent Action on Alcohol Steering Group is a
Kent wide partnership of agencies that aims to promote a safe,
sensible and social approach to alcohol in Kent and reduce the harm
caused by alcohol.
The steering group developed the draft Kent
Alcohol Strategy which sets out what we are currently doing to
address problematic alcohol consumption. Following consultation
throughout the summer months (2009) the Strategy has been
amended to reflect the views of the consultees. Currently, the
strategy and the associated delivery plan is
being finalised prior to ratification by Kent County
Council.
The Kent Action and Alcohol Streering Group
has included representatives from the NHS, Children, Families and
Education [Kent Adult Social Services], Kent Police, Community
Safety and Trading Standards, and Kent Drug and Alcohol Action Team
(KDAAT).
