Membership and governance

Membership for the Kent Health Commission is as follows:

• Paul Carter, Leader of Kent County Council
• Cllr Paul Watkins, Leader of Dover District Council (or deputy)
• Charlie Elphicke, MP for Dover and Deal
• Graham Gibbens, Cabinet Member for Adult Social Care and Public Health and/or Roger Gough, Cabinet Member for Business Stratey, Performance and Health Reform
• Andrew Ireland, Corporate Director of Families and Social Care (or deputy)
• Meradin Peachey, Director of Public Health, KCC and Kent & Medway PCT Cluster
• Joe Chaudhuri, Lead, South Kent Coast Clinical Commissioning Group
• GP representatives from CCGs
• Mike Birtwistle, Managing Director, MHP Health Mandate
• Alex Thomson, Chief Executive, Localis

The Commission will be chaired jointly by Paul Carter, Charlie Elphicke MP and Paul Watkins.

Meetings will be facilitated by MHP and the secretariat function will be performed by Localis with KCC and Dover District Council.

MHP Health Mandate and Localis will provide specialist independent policy advice to the Commission.

Consultation with a wider range of stakeholders will take place to inform the final report by the Commission.
