The Maidstone Studios has been making great shows for more than 20 years. Originally built by TVS in 1982 the studio hosted programmes such as Motormouth, Finders Keepers and Art Attack. Since then the studio has gone on to be one of the UK’s leading facilities. Major recent investment has meant that the last two years have been an exciting time for the studios, with the building of Studio 5, the new 12,000 sq ft space, being the most significant move forward. Clients include: BBC (Eurovision 'Making Your Mind Up', Dirty Rotten Cheater), ITV Meridian (Meridian Daily News), Pett Productions (Tittybangbang) (Vic Reeves & Bob Mortimer), The Foundation (Basil’s Swap Shop), Hit Entertainment (Art Attack), Talkback Thames (Supermarket Sweep), Endemol (1 vs 100), Town House TV (The Trisha Goddard Show), and Gallowgate (Duel)
On site we have five studios ranging from 250 sq ft to 12,000 sq ft – and with a seating capacity for 1000 people, Studio 5 is an amazing space; the largest single studio floor in the country. Large, recently refurbished, dressing rooms, wardrobe, make up and green room serve the studios. We also have full set design and build facilities available on site. We are a proven live broadcast studio, with a direct fibre link to BT Tower and via satellite we can send your programme to any country in the world.
“Two years ago we couldn't dream of hosting big LE (Light Entertainment) shows," says Kenton Oxley. "We're no further outside London than Pinewood and we've got a set-up here that means we can compete for leading productions."
We offer everything you need, whether it’s a purpose-built
production office, 120 seat restaurant, 24 hour security, reception or
secretarial services, set building, props, wardrobe, duplication &
transfers, IT support, crewing facilities… the list goes on.

The Studios are conveniently based in the county town of Maidstone. A stones throw from the M20 the studios are less than an hour from the centre of London, proving them to be a viable and attractive alternative to their Home Counties counterparts.
Located near the town centre, productions using The Maidstone Studios have a wealth of locations at their fingertips. The county town as recently been regenerated into a shopping haven with the arrival of the new Fremlins Walk. From its museum and art gallery housed in an Elizabethan Manor House to its leisure centre the town has everything that you could possibly want. In stark contract to the urban offerings of Maidstone, the studios are also only a few minutes from the breathtaking landscape of the Kent Downs, offering lush countryside and beautiful villages as far as the eye can see.
