Starring Ewan McGregor (Moulin Rouge, Star Wars) and Michelle Williams (Dawson’s Creek, Brokeback Mountain), Incendiary is the heartbreaking story of a young wife and mother who’s family falls victim to a terrorist attack.
The young mother’s life is torn apart, when her son and husband are killed following a bomb blast at a football match; watching the horrific events unfold before her eyes. Her feelings of despair are intensified by guilt because at the time of the blast she was with another man. Anguished and filled with grief she rejects her lover (McGregor) and seeks comfort from the officer investigating the incident.
Adapted from Chris Cleave’s controversial novel, Incendiary caused furore at the time of its release hitting bookshops only a week after the 7/7 attacks in London, the book proved to be chillingly close to reality causing major retailers to pull their marketing campaigns for the novel.
The film visited the Metropolitan Police training facilities near Gravesend. The facilities have a wide and varied offer of locations including a mock town, a train station and even an underground train!
Incendiary is on general release at cinemas from the 24th October.
