Basil Brush has returned to our screens to encourage children all over the UK to swap their unwanted toys, games and gadgets for new things that they do want. In addition, Basil has joined forces with presenter Barney Harwood (Totally Doctor Who, Prank Patrol) to ensure that the show is also packed with sketches, music and  games.

Bringing the show into the 21st Century, Children are able to use the traditional method of calling into the show directly as well as having Basil and his crew record a video advertising their item online.

Every guest that appears on the show must have something to swap and this is true of celebrities, too! So watch out for those swaps as every week Basil will be joined by a famous person with something that could be a collectable in the future.

The loveable and cheeky fox has long been a favourite on our screens first appearing in the 1960’s. He has recently enjoyed a revival on CBBC starring on his own show entitled ‘The Basil Brush Show’, has made special guest appearances on Blue Peter and won Anne Robinson’s The Weakest Link

The programme is produced by The Foundation who are based at The Maidstone Studios, they have been responsible for a number of Children's television successes such as Ministry of Mayhem, Finders Keepers and Finger Tips.

Basil’s Swap Shop is on every Saturday at 9 am on BBC2.

You can also catch The Basil Brush Show on the CBBC Channel.
