Coasts
Kent's coast is one of the longest and most varied
coastlines in England.
It is home to many internationally important coastal habitats,
and also has the busiest passenger ferry port in northern Europe
and the largest installed offshore wind farm in the UK.
The Kent coast has long been a popular tourist destination and
offers many recreational opportunities.
In addition, it has played a vital role in England's history and
many fine relics from our military past can still be seen
today.
This section shows you how to get the most out of your coast,
and highlights some of the important work Kent County Council is
doing to make sure we maintain a coast we can all be proud of.
