Kent Waste Partnership
The Kent Waste Partnership (KWP) is made up of the district and borough councils that collect
domestic waste in Kent, and Kent County Council, which disposes of
it.
The partnership replaced the Kent Waste Forum.
Kent Waste Partnership Members Board
The cabinet members responsible for waste, recycling, street
cleansing and related enforcement in each of the 13 Kent councils
comprise the Kent Waste Partnership Members
Board. This is planned to meet three times a year usually in
April, July and November. The priority task for the Kent Waste
Partnership Members Board is the ongoing delivery of the Kent Joint Municipal Waste Management
Strategy.
Officers Advisory Group
The Kent Waste Partnership Members Board is advised by the Kent
Waste Partnership Officers Advisory Group. The Officers Advisory
Group also meets three times a year and comprises senior officers
of the 13 Kent councils who manage waste, recycling and street
cleansing services.
Kent Waste Forum
The issue of managing household waste extends well beyond the 13
Kent councils. As such, there is a Kent Waste Forum where issues
are then discussed among a wider audience including retailers,
reprocessors, ‘civil society’ organisations (for instance, the
community sector), and a host of other interested parties.
Please view videos and presentations slides for past Kent Waste Forums, where possible.
