Minerals and waste documents

Mineral dredgingThe Kent Local Development Framework is like a 'folder' containing minerals and waste planning documents known as Local Development Documents. Once adopted, these documents will replace the saved Minerals and Waste Local Plan policies.

There are two types of Local Development Documents:

Development Plan Documents

Development Plan Documents are spatial planning documents which will form the minerals and waste development plan for Kent. They are subject to independent testing through Examination in Public.

We will produce the following:

Supplementary Planning Documents

Supplementary Planning Documents can cover a range of subjects and expand on the policies and proposals set out in a 'parent' Development Plan Document. They do not have development plan status and are not subject to independent examination.
