Minerals and Waste Plan
We are preparing a set of new Minerals and Waste Local Plans to replace
the old style, existing Local Plans for the county
council's administrative area.
The key document of the framework is the Minerals
and Waste Plan (previously known as the 'Core Strategy'
document). Two Mineral and Waste Sites Plans will be produced
separately.
The Minerals and Waste Plan will:
- set out the vision and strategy for mineral provision and waste
management in Kent
- contain a number of development management policies for
evaluating minerals and waste planning applications
- consider strategic site provision for all minerals and waste
management facilities, and
- plan to the year 2030.
Key events
The development of the Plan will include community
involvement events where you have the opportunity
to give us your views and help form the final document.
