Supplementary Site Options consultation
The Supplementary Options consultation
ran for eight weeks between 24 October and 19 December
2011. The document presented:
- nine new mineral working and waste facility sites (late
submissions into our site assessment process)
- five sites with significant amendments from
the previous Minerals and Waste Site Options consultations (held from
May to August 2011), and
- two sites that have been withdrawn from the site assessment
process by the operator.
This consultation was part of
the first stage (of a three stage
consultation process) in the development of the Sites Documents.
The sites were promoted by industry for inclusion for
consideration by the County Council. We know not
all the sites will be suitable.
Once adopted, the final Sites Documents will contain
allocated sites throughout Kent which will provide mineral
resources and waste management facilities for the duration of the
plan period (2012 - 2030).
