Environmental review service
What is an environmental review?
An on-site audit of a business and the waste it produces, water
use, energy use, raw materials used, transport, and legal
compliance. This is normally on site and takes about two hours.
Why should I have a review?
It will help you to identify potential cost savings to your
businesses. This is done by identifying opportunities to be more
efficient with resources or invest in new technologies. It will
also help you assess your environmental impact and start working to
reduce it.
What will be contained in the review report?
A review report will summarise your current resource use and
opportunities for savings. The report will also include:
- A summary of three priority actions areas. This includes
an action plan which, for each action, identifies cost savings, any
capital investment required, environmental impact, and the total in
CO2 savings per year
- An implementation plan, including detail on 'how to',
timescales and capital investment costs
- Details of local suppliers of goods and services (relevant to
the three priority actions).
Who qualifies for an environmental review?
Any business that can provide the necessary information (see box
below) can receive a free audit.
