South East Business Carbon Hub webinar: Steps to Environmental Management (STEM) Level 1

This online event for business owners and managers introduced the South East Business Carbon Hub’s new Steps to Environmental Management (STEM) accreditation scheme.

STEM is a step-by-step guide to putting an environmental management system in place within your business. It is a free, self-certifying scheme. More information can be found by visiting the STEM page.

During the webinar we discussed:

  1. What an environmental management system is.
  2. What you need to do to achieve Level 1 (Blue) of STEM including:
  • Obtaining top management commitment.
  • Carrying out a baseline assessment.
  • Identifying your significant environmental impacts.
  • Drafting an Environmental Policy.
  • Collecting environmental performance data.
