Greenhouse gas emissions statement
All local authorities are expected to publish data on Greenhouse
Gas emissions in line with the Greenhouse
Gas Protocol. This data is collated and published annually by
the Department for Energy and
Climate Change.
When reading the report please note:
- A new baseline was established in 2010-11, due to the
requirement to provide a report for the Carbon Reduction
Commitment. This baseline included more energy supply data than had
previously been collected (hence an increase in emissions compared
to previous years).
- More accurate accounting for fleet transport fuel consumption
was established in 2010-11
- Energy data for Academies is currently included (due to Carbon
Reduction Commitment reporting rules)
