How low can you go?

Some schools have held a ‘How Low Can You Go?‘ day. The aim of the day is to use as little energy as possible. All the school community is encouraged to take part in finding out how much energy can be saved, and understand more about the everyday actions that result in carbon emissions.

During previous years, schools with the largest reductions recorded were:

  • Crockham Hill CEP School reduced energy use by 86%.
  • Minterne Junior School reduced energy use by 85%.
  • Bapchild andTonge Primary School and Shoreham Village School both saved 78%.

Why not kick start your own energy saving plan by holding your own ‘How Low Can You Go?’ day.

Green Day 2011

Last year over 1,000 schools throughout the country took part in Green Day. Why not register to hold your own Green Day in 2011? You can find out more on the Engaging Places website.

You can still use all the resources that were put together last year in Kent by visiting the Advisory Service Kent website.

To register your interest please email your full name and the address of your school to Paul Lincoln at the Landscape Institute at email paull@landscapeinstitute.org.
