Kent's Adaptation Action Plan 2011-2013
The Kent Environment Strategy lays out how Kent partners will
work together to address the major challenges and opportunities for
Kent over the next 10-20 years. The second theme of the
strategy rising to the Climate Change Challenge contains the
priority to manage the impacts of climate change, in particular
severe weather events.
Kent partners have therefore been working together to meet this
priority, identifying the opportunities and threats arising from
our changing climate and taking action to address these. The
Kent Adaptation Action Plan identifies the key actions we will be
taking over the next two years in priority sectors, including
Health & Social Care; Biodiversity and the Natural Environment;
Kent Highway Services; Kent Communities; Kent Businesses; Public
Sector Estate; Public Sector Staff; Waste Management and
Planning.
