Volunteering
Volunteering and Countryside Management Partnerships
Providing volunteer opportunities has been an
important part of how Countryside Management Partnerships (CMPs)
have worked since they were first formed. Volunteering is a
great way to get out into green spaces and also plays a major part
in CMPs actually being able to achieve results for wildlife and
communities.
The wide range of volunteer opportunities
offered by CMPs means that there is something for everybody to get
involved in no matter what skills you have to offer or how much
time you are able to commit.
People volunteer for all sorts of
reasons including to:
- get out into the countryside
- make a difference
- have fun
- meet other people
- gain skills
- get fit
In return for the valuable time that volunteers
commit to our work we provide a safe working environment, friendly
faces, the opportunity to undertake training and, of course, plenty
of tea and coffee.
Whether you are interested in
getting outside to do some practical work, help out in the office
or work with specific groups, CMPs have something to offer.

Volunteer opportunities
Volunteers carry out a wide range of
different tasks on behalf of Countryside Management Partnerships
across the county. Find out more about volunteer opportunities.
Team building
CMPs are able to provide team building
opportunities for the private sector and packages can be tailored
to meet the needs of individual companies. Find out more
about our team building packages.
Volunteer officers
For those with more time to commit, CMPs
are able to offer the chance to get involved ‘behind the scenes’
and become part of the team. Find out more about volunteer officers.
Events
As well as volunteer
opportunities, CMPs run events all around the county so there are
plenty of other ways to get involved in our work. Find out
more about the events that CMPs
organise.
