Kent 4 star Council

Managing Kent's waste

Kent County Council works closely with partners to manage over 800,000 tonnes of rubbish produced by Kent householders each year. Our primary aims are always to manage waste in ways that are environmentally friendly, sustainable and good value for money.

In this section you can find out how Kent's councils will work together to set, meet and exceed targets for waste management. You can read about the innovative Waste to Energy facility at Allington which is changing the way we manage waste. This section also includes some facts and figures on waste, recycling and composting.
