Temporary Closures, TRO's and Gating Orders

Occasionally it is necessary to close Public Rights of Way on a temporary basis for public safety reasons; for instance to enable excavations or maintenance to take place or because construction is taking place next to them.

There are also a small number of Rights of Way that are subject to Traffic Regulation Orders (TRO's) or Gating Orders that prevent them being used by some users at some times of year or at some times of day. Details of these TRO's will be available shortly.
