Current consultations

The County Council has to publicise a number of Notices in the local press and on site about Orders it has made. If an Order is confirmed (authorised), this will lead to a change to the Public Rights of Way network; for instance the diversion of a public footpath.

Below is a list of public consultations for current Orders:

• Gating Orders
• Adding, removing or changing a Public Right of Way based on evidence
• Diverting or removing a Public Right of Way

Please note that if you object to some types of Order and maintain the objection the matter must be forwarded to the Secretary of State for determination. You may be liable for the costs incurred by the County Council if your objection is found to be irrelevant or frivolous by the Secretary of State at any subsequent public inquiry or hearing.
