Planning fees for planning applications are set by central
government and apply throughout England and Wales.
A number of important points should be noted before an
application is made:
- cheques and postal orders should be crossed and made payable to
Kent County Council
- application fees being paid by other units of the county
council should be paid by a specific journal transfer to the
planning applications unit.
- where the proposal includes development in more than one
category, the highest fee will apply.
The scale of fees for planning applications were revised by the
government on 6 April 2008. For more information about fees please
download our current guide to
planning
application fees.
Fees for the discharge of planning conditions
Please note that from 6 May 2008 there will be a
charge for requests to approve details required by condition and
for confirmation that the terms of conditions have been met. All
such requests shall be in writing.
The fee chargeable is £85 per request, so if you ask
for more than condition to be discharged at the same time, only one
fee will be charged. Each separate request will attract a new fee,
as will any request to amend a previously approved detail. The fee
must be paid when the request is
made. |
