Who should I contact about local drainage problems?
|
Most district councils employ land drainage engineers or
technicians who are able to provide basic advice on land drainage
problems.
Many localised land drainage problems will be due to poor
natural drainage in the ground, a high water table or defective
private drains or soakaways.
These are often the responsibility of the landowner and although
the council may provide basic advice, the landowner will normally
need to employ a suitably qualified engineer or contractor to
investigate the problem in detail.

local or district council. |
