In Kent we are very lucky to have two Environmental Education Centres at Canterbury and Horton Kirby. For information about the range of environmental activities for pupils and teachers visit the Naturegrid website (link opens in a new window).

Canterbury Environmental Education Centre and Horton Kirby Environmental Education Centre have both been working to become Eco Centres. Canterbury gained their Green Eco Centres Flag in summer 2004, having satisfied criteria that are very similar to that of the Green Eco-Schools Flag.
