What do KYCC members do?

Kent Members help to voice the views and opinions of young people in Kent.   Members are expected to attend at least 10 meetings per year.  These take place on Sundays from 10.30am - 4.30pm at County Hall, Maidstone.   Don’t worry about getting there - we can help with that!

To become a Member of KYCC, you have to...

  • Be aged from 11-18 years inclusive
  • Live, go to school or work within the Kent County Council area
  • Tell us what you want to campaign on and why people should vote for you.  (some manifesto ideas from previous years can be found at: Manifestos

The Election Process

KYCC elections will take place from 14-20 November 2011, and for the first time you can vote online.

All young people aged 11-19 who live, go to school, or work in Kent can vote.
