Youth Opportunity Fund

The Kent Youth Opportunity Fund (YOF)
is for young people to apply for things to do, places to go and
supports the development of positive activities, encouraging
young people to take part as decision makers, grant givers and
project leaders with large budgets of more than £100,000.
YOF aims to give a voice to young
people, particularly those hard to reach, in line with what
they want in their communities. By conveying a powerful
message to young people that their needs and aspirations are
important, the fund provides opportunities to develop
their confidence, knowledge, skills and abilities, gaining
recognition and accreditation.
Ultimately, it is hoped that it will increase the well-being of
young people and their engagement with services and with the
democratic process at local level.
