Bewl Water Outdoor Centre

Why visit Bewl Water?

Bewl Water logoBewl Water is a specialist outdoor education facility on the Kent, Sussex border. Set in the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this brand new residential centre offers accommodation for groups of up to 32 plus 4 staff (all rooms with en-suite facilities).

The reservoir is the largest area of inland water in the south east and offers a great venue for water sports, plus the stunning natural sandstone outcrop at Harrisons Rocks for climbing, giving us the perfect location in Kent for outdoor adventurous activities.

Sailing at Bewl WaterCombine this with excellent equipment and caring, friendly, professional staff who will make learning new skills and refining old ones, an enjoyable and fun experience.

Every visit, whether it is a 1 off activity day, a residential visit or a series of visits, provides a unique opportunity for students to respond to challenges in a variety of conditions and, to experience and develop an understanding of:

  • The principles of safety and risk management.
