Become a governing body clerk
The Kent Clerking Service provides expert and professional
clerking support to governing bodies.
A good clerk is a valuable and essential asset to any governing
body, and duties undertaken efficiently can make a real difference
to the governing body’s role in school improvement. The work
is interesting, varied and challenging, as well as
rewarding. The clerk to the governing body in broad
terms is responsible for convening and attending meetings of the
governing body, taking minutes, keeping a register of governing
body members and attendance, keeping a track of membership and
giving advice and support on relevant procedure and
regulations. Our clerks are fully trained and supported to
perform these duties.
We are always looking to increase our team. If you are
interested in joining the service please visit our
Clerking
Service page on Kent Trust Web for details and an
application form.
