Private or independent schools

If you decide that you want your child to go to a private or independent school (a school where you pay termly fees for your child to attend) then you should apply to the school direct. Private schools will have their own admissions procedures which may involve your child taking a test.

At Kent County Council, we don't offer you any support with paying private school fees or arranging transport to private schools. There are a number of independent organisations which may be able to help you.
