Nursery schools

Kent currently has one nursery school and 69 primary schools that have attached nursery classes (sometimes called "nursery units").

These nursery classes and the nursery school provide nursery education through a carefully planned and structured learning environment for children of three and four years of age.

Early education is also available in Kent at pre-schools, playgroups and nurseries run by private individuals and organisations and by voluntary or community groups. Details can be obtained from Kent Children and Families Information Service.
