Secondary school appeals

We will try to offer you the school place you most want,
but may not be able to do this. If more people want places at a
school than the school has room for, it uses its admission criteria
to put children in priority order to decide which of them should be
offered places. We use these lists, together with your list of
preferred schools, to make the highest offer possible.
If you want to appeal for a place at any (or all) of the schools
you asked for but were not offered, download our
appeal information and appeal form (PDF 920kb).
Note: Since the preparation of our forms and letters, the
School Admission Appeals Code 2012 has become law. It sets out a
timetable which allows appeals received after Kent’s original
deadlines to be treated as “on time”.
The new timetable is set out below:
September 2012 entry
Appeals resulting from year of entry or transfer applications in
September 2012 will be heard according to the following
timetable:

lodged, whichever is the later date.

included with their initial appeal, they must make sure that it is
received at least 5 clear school days prior to the hearing
