Primary school appeals
We always try to offer you the school of your preference.
Unfortunately, sometimes this isn't possible. Usually this happens
when the school you have applied for has had more applications for
places than it has places to offer.
This is what you can do if you are not happy with the primary
school we have offered your child.
Accept the place you have been offered
We always advise parents to accept the place that we have
offered them. If you don't accept the place, the school will offer
it to another child. You can always decide to turn
down the place later if you find your child a different
school. Accepting the place we offer you doesn't make any
difference to any appeal you might make to a different school.
Make an appeal for the school you prefer
You can make an appeal for a place at any of the schools
you have named on your application. The form will be available
on this page in April 2012 (after the offer primary offer day) For
reference, the appeals form from last year is below. You will need
to clearly set out all the reasons why you feel your child should
go to the particular school.
Put your child on the waiting list
Complete the waiting list form enclosed with your offer letter
and return it to us at the address supplied. Do not make waiting
list applications direct to the school.

guidance.
