In Year admissions
What is an In Year Admission?
If you want to transfer your child to the same year group in a
different school (for example your child is in year 3 in one school
and you wish to apply for a year 3 place in another school) your
application is called an In Year admission (also known as a casual
admission).
Finding a new school
By using our
schools database you can find the schools nearest to you and
contact information in case you wish to visit them. We recommend
you do this first as you can fill out an application at the school
and in some cases this can save time.
How to apply
You can also download the In Year application form and return it
to our office by post. If you are unable to print please contact us
and we will send a form to you by post.

What happens next?
Once you have applied you should hear from us after 3
or 4 weeks however there could be some delays. If
you wish to check on your application please feel free to contact
us.
Important Notes
If you live outside of Kent you will need to apply to your own
Local Authority for an In Year Admission. Please note that Medway,
Bexley and Bromley Councils do not come under the authority of Kent
County Council.
