Health and safety
Making sure everyone who visits the centre stays safe is very
important to us. Our grounds and buildings are safe and
regularly inspected.
When you arrive, the centre manager will cover all
issues during the welcome talk. Group leaders are responsible
for their group, and school leaders should maintain good
supervision of their group at all times.
We strongly recommend that you make a pre-visit to the
centre. Please contact us to arranage this.
First aid
We reccommend that a member of your group is qualified
in first aid. It is also helpful if there is a French speaker
in the group.
The centre is equipped with first aid boxes, but groups
must carry their own for any off site visits.
If medical assistance is required it can be provided by
the local GP, or at the nearest hospital in Boulogne.
You will be asked to tell us if any members of your group
have any medical condition, special need or dietary
requirement before your stay.
School groups
For school groups, you may need to contact Kent County
Council's Outdoor Education Unit before booking your
stay. Telephone 01580 715854 or email outdoor.education@kent.gov.uk.
If the visit is not approved then the visit could be
cancelled.
Risk assessments
You will of course be able to carry out your own risk assessment
during your pre-visit, please contact us to arrange this. We
are not able to provide risk assessments for any of the activities
outside the centre.
