About the Hardelot Centre

The Hardelot Centre is the Kent County Council residential
centre near Boulogne, just 45 minutes from Calais – wonderfully
close to the UK!
It offers accommodation, activities and excursions to small groups
of young people or adults (max 36 people) and is perfect for
learning outside the classroom activities, youth group
residentials, club weekends, professional away-days – and much
more.
The 8 acres of woodland and on-site
facilities make it a great self-contained venue for a short
break, but the surrounding area abounds with fascinating visitor
attractions, as well as sporting facilities, local markets, shops
and restaurants – and of course, the beach (just 2 kilometres
away).
Since its inauguration in 1992, the Hardelot Centre has
represented Kent in the Pas de Calais.
Recent developments have led to stronger links with local French
schools and organisations, including the Conseil Général du Pas de
Calais.
This has provided the Centre with a new direction and exciting
possibilities for its visitors.
The Centre is a natural partner for the Château d’Hardelot
(Centre Culturel de l’Entente Cordiale), which hosts cultural
events and exhibitions with a cross-Channel theme. This partnership
can assist UK schools and other organisations to share activities
with their French counterparts.
