We want all school children in Kent to get the most out of their education, and attending school regularly is an important part of your child's education. We are here to support you if your child has any problems attending school, whatever the reason may be.

Attendance & Behaviour

  • Always speak to your child's headteacher before booking a term time holiday.
    Family holidays
  • Education Welfare Officers work with schools, children and their parents to encourage and enforce regular school attendance.
    Truancy
  • If your child is regularly disruptive at school or does not stick to the school's standards for good behaviour, the school have the right to discipline them. This may include your child being excluded.
