Tamanna Miah

District: Sevenoaks

I will represent your views to try and get a better deal for young people in our area!

I have gained lots of knowledge and experience from the youth, community and voluntary work that I have done over the years.

I will continue to do everything I can within my power to make our community a better place for all of us.

If I am elected I will continue to channel these campaigns forward along with all the other issues we face on a daily basis. I will carry on working to extend the Freedom pass to buses and trains for all young people aged 11-19 yrs.

Most of us cannot find a job, and have no source of income so what are we supposed to do? I am a determined and committed person who won't stop till young people have been listened to and get what we rightly deserve.

I want this last opportunity to share the messages of young people to the relevant decision makers. I will ensure our voices are heard, by providing that voice to bring about positive social change.

We face many barriers in life which stops us from doing everyday things. I want to put an end to it all and implement changes for the better. If we work hard enough then we can achieve anything together.

Whatever we do today will impact our future for the better. Its time for us to unite as one, for less talk and more action!!

I am campaigning on the following issues:

  1. Cheaper or half price public transport for 11 - 19 year olds as public transport is becoming increasingly expensive
  2. Youth unemployment - It is so difficult to find a job in this recession, how can we get a job or work experience if no one is willing to give us a chance?
  3. There aren't enough things for young people to do or places to go!
