The first phase of a new website, www.togogo.info
(opens in new window), has been released so that Kent's 13 to 19
year olds can have their say on how the site should be further
developed. The website is designed to give young people across the
county easier and more convenient access to information about the
wide range of activities available for them to do.
Young people have already been involved during togogo's early
development, and Kent County Council's Youth Service is keen to
further engage with young people so that they - the site's users -
can have their say about what they'd like to see changed or added
to the website.
togogo, a Kent County Council initiative, is designed to provide
information for teenagers looking for a host of activities to
tackle boredom. Users will find information on anything from
festivals and gigs to business and enterprise, and from arts and
drama to sports and games. By finding out the locations, times of
activities and contact details it is hoped that more and more young
people will be encouraged to take part in either something they
love, or something they had never thought to try.
Activity providers from right across the county are also
encouraged to visit the site and
set up a
free togogo account (link opens in new window). That way they
will be able to upload details of activities and events they are
providing for 13-19 year olds in Kent. The information provided
about all activities will be checked by KCC prior to being
published. |
