The Duke of Edinburgh's Award

The Duke of Edinburgh's Award allows young people to take part in a programme that provides them with adventure, personal development and life experience.

You can be a local hero by helping your community or environment, learn a new skill, try your hand at a new sport and go on an adventurous expedition. You can even go away with other like-minded participants to work on a project for five days.

There are three levels to the Award: bronze, silver, and gold. Each level of the Award has four sections - service, skills, physical recreation and expedition.
