Your County - Putting Kent First

Kent 4 star Council

What are annual reviews?

An annual review is a meeting that allows us to

  • check that the support your child has received over the past year has helped them to make progress
  • see if your child's needs have changed in any way
  • think about and plan for the next year so that we can agree new aims and targets
  • see if the statement is still suitable or needs changing in some way (sometimes, we might find we no longer need the statement).

The annual review is in four parts

  • first we collect information
  • then we have the annual review meeting
  • then the head teacher prepares a report on the meeting to send to us
  • finally we will review the statement in the light of what the report says.
