Services for Refugee and Traveller children and young people

The Minority Communities Achievement Service has some targeted support funded through the Children's Services Grant to improve access to education and raise achievement of the most vulnerable refugee and traveller children. Services include:

• education assessment of Looked After Children who are unaccompanied minors
• support for induction into education for children new to education or new to the UK
• liaison with other agencies to promote co-ordinated provision to ensure children access their statutory entitlement.
