Your County - Putting Kent First

Kent 4 star Council

International development

The International Development Unit was established to help raise educational standards and cultural awareness for learners in Kent and to promote the international dimension in schools through international learning opportunities. Part of Kent County Council's Children Families and Education Directorate, the unit co-ordinates international activities by maintaining and developing links within the Directorate, as well as with external and international partners.

We aim to ensure that all young people in Kent are fully aware of and receive the maximum benefits from international funding, training and development opportunities. The work of the International Development Unit is underpinned by an international strategy which sets out aims and objectives which are inline with international, national and regional priorities. We produce a newsletter called InterActive which is available on this website (see Newsletters below).
