International development

The International Development Unit was established to help
raise educational standards and cultural awareness for learners in
Kent and to promote the international dimension in schools through
international learning opportunities. Part of Kent County Council's
Children Families and Education Directorate, the unit co-ordinates
international activities by maintaining and developing links within
the Directorate, as well as with external and international
partners.
We aim to ensure that all young people in Kent are fully aware
of and receive the maximum benefits from international funding,
training and development opportunities. The work of the
International Development Unit is underpinned by an international
strategy which sets out aims and objectives which are inline with
international, national and regional priorities. We produce a
newsletter called InterActive which is available on this website
(see Newsletters below).
