School admissions

How do I place a child into nursery or primary school? What admissions procedures are there for transfers to secondary school? Which pupils are eligible for free home to school transport?

These questions, and related ones are dealt with by the Kent Admissions and Transport Team. They are responsible for:

• co-ordinating admissions to schools;
• overseeing the procedure for entrance to secondary education;
• assessing eligibility for home-to-school transport;
• servicing the admissions and transport appeal process.
