Where can I get more information and advice about exclusions?

More information, including support and advice about exclusions is available from the following sources:

  • Partnership with Parents
"Partnership with Parents", which has been established with the support of the Kent Education Authority, provides confidential information, advice and support for parents of pupils at risk of being, or who are, excluded from school.
They can be contacted on: 01622 755515 or e-mail partnershipwithparents@kent.gov.uk
  • Exclusions Officers
The LEA Exclusions Officers provide information on exclusion procedures for you, headteachers and governors. They represent the LEA at Governors' Discipline Committee meetings when permanent exclusions are being considered, and will advise governors on the appropriateness of the exclusion. To find out where your local Exclusions officer is based, see our local contacts page
  • Advisory Centre for Education
The Advisory Centre for Education (ACE) has a helpline for parents.
They can be contacted on: 020 7704 9822, or at their website.
