The Early Years & Childcare Operations
Unit is part of the Children, Families & Education (CFE)
Directorate within Kent County Council. Its primary purpose is to
contribute towards delivering the Government's National Childcare
Strategy and to ensure that it helps meet the needs of all
children, parents and carers in Kent.
Free, impartial advice and guidance on childcare and related
issues.
12.5 hours free early education a week during term time for 38
weeks a year.
Access to services for families with children aged 0-5
years.
The support and development of childcare providers throughout
