Childcare Sufficiency Assessment

The Childcare Sufficiency Assessment, which has become a requirement under the Childcare Act 2006, was mainly carried out as a consultation with parents to give their views on a range of issues in connection with their early education and childcare needs.

The Act specifies that it is the responsibility of all local authorities to ensure that there is sufficient childcare in every community for all those who need it to enter work or training. It further states that market needs analysis must be conducted at least three years and, preferably, annually.

A period of consultation will be carried out. All interested parties are welcome to respond. Please use the link below to view the Childcare Sufficiency Assessment, to make a response complete the on-line survey.
