Strategic Plan for the Provision of Secondary School Places
2007-2017
This plan is produced by officers to inform and assist Kent
County Council (KCC) in its decision making for planning secondary
school places over the next ten years. The projections in this plan
are based on best estimates, informed by district plans, the Kent
Structure Plan and the local Primary Care Trusts' (PCT) live births
data. This report details available secondary places for Years 7
-11 by individual school, and forecast need for each district in
turn. Where possible, plans and ideas for the reduction or increase
in places to match that forecast need are outlined. Some projects
will be in progress, some will be at the feasibility stage and some
will represent possibilities for future discussion.
Kent Children and Young People's plan 2008 - 2011
This plan aims to turn our vision into reality by addressing the
needs and aspirations of Children and Young People (C&YP) in
Kent and representing the priorities for improvement of all
agencies and sectors delivering services to Children, Young People
and their families.
Kent Primary Strategy 2006: Recommendations
The Kent Primary Strategy 2006 is the result of a series of
discussions on primary education in Kent, held between a
representative group of headteachers and officers from the Local
Authority, during academic year 2004-05.
Their recommendations were widely consulted on for a seven week
period from 21 November 2005 and it is hoped this Strategy will
provide a framework for decision making for the next 5 -10
years.
Education Business Plan 2005/06 - 2007/08 (Medium
Term Plan)
This provides the Directorate with a strategic vision for the next
three years and incorporates all the individual unit business
plans. If you are intending to print this document, please note
that it is over 200 pages long.

Learner Strategy
This document sets out a shared vision and framework for the
development of Kent's 14-19 strategy, between Kent County Council,
Kent and Medway Learning and Skills Council and Connexions - Kent
& Medway. Both the strategy and the forthcoming Action Plan
will be subject to constant review and development, learning from
other examples of best practice and study visits, locally,
nationally and internationally, as they emerge.
