Comparative deprivation index

The new Comparison of Public Health project involving
South East England and Northern France is an "innovation
first".
It involves devising an internationally comparative index of
deprivation. This enables deprivation and disadvantage to be
compared across national borders.
In addition, an index of market concentration is deployed to
analyse how hospital and health care facilities are used by the
local population.
