Kent TV is a free internet TV station for Kent,
broadcasting local news and features from around the county.
Although the initiative has been led by Kent County Council, Kent
TV will be run by the independent media company Ten Alps Digital,
co-founded by singer/songwriter/activist and Kent resident Bob
Geldof KBE.
Kent TV went live on 21 September 2007 and is available 24 hours a
day, seven days a week at www.kenttv.com (link opens in a new
window).
Programming
Kent TV will show programmes under a series of
channels, such as news, community, education, tourism and
business.
There will be programmes showcasing the county's tourist
attractions, plus features on KCC-run services, such as how to find
a residential home for an elderly parent or how to get a Kent card
- a debit card to pay for social services help.
At the heart of Kent TV lies its ambition to be a community
channel, so individuals and local community groups can upload their
own content onto Kent TV to highlight local issues.
News content will be independently managed by Ten Alps Digital
and an independent board will oversee the running of the
station.
Kent TV Board
The Kent TV Board oversees the running of the station. You can

latest
minutes of the Board.
