the county that set out what needs to be done to continue to
improve services for the people of Kent.
The Community Strategy (Vision for Kent)
The
Vision for Kent is the community strategy for the county. We
are working with our partners to improve the economic,
environmental and social wellbeing of Kent over the next 20
years.
Towards 2010 - KCC's targets
Towards 2010 sets out the targets we aim to achieve during the
next four years to improve the quality of life for Kent's
residents.
The Kent Agreement
The
Kent Agreement brings Kent Partners together to work for the
people of the county with the aim of increasing independence and
raising personal fulfilment.
Equality and diversity
Our
Equality and Diversity Strategy and Policy Statement
incorporate our disability, gender and race equality schemes and
the priorities to be tackled in each area.
The Annual Plan
This shows our performance in 2007-08 and our priorities in
2008-09. Read our

Cabinet plan of decisions
We publish a forward plan of key
Cabinet decisions we expect to take over the coming four
months.
Supporting Independence Programme
With our
Supporting Independence Programme we aim to make a real
difference to the lives of people living in Kent's most
disadvantaged communities.
Joint Strategic Needs Assessment for Adults in
Kent
A
Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA) is the means by which
Primary Care Trusts and Local Authorities describe the future
health, social care and wellbeing needs of local populations and
commission accordingly to meet those needs.
Strategy for Later Life (draft)
This document summarises how people in Kent want to live
their later lives, and what they want from public and community
services and facilities. It is based upon discussions with people
from all walks of life, and with representatives of all the major
service providers. The document is in draft and we are currently
consulting for feedback. If you have any comments or views about
the draft document you can email your comments to
